Our District Attorney, Gerry Leone, will visit CHS and speak to our male students about the White Ribbon Campaign, a worldwide effort to curtail one of the most pervasive societal ills — abuse of women.  He will be speaking to our students on Thursday, May 31st in the P.A.C. from 8:50-9:50.  Joining him on stage will be our Superintendent, Dr. Frank Tiano, the Police Chief, James Murphy, and a supporting cast of positive male role models in our school including students, teachers, and coaches. If you're interested in learning more about this presentation, Mr. Leone visited Nashoba Valley Technical High School last fall and here's a link to an article summarizing that event.

The Resiliency Course is creating a community garden area. The garden area will not only beautify the school, but will also be a place for students and staff to sit outside and enjoy nature.  We would truly appreciate any help you could give us with this project.  We will be engraving the names of all donors and will be prominently placing them in the garden area.  We are looking for donations of any of the following:

• Garden Supplies
  • Bags of Soil
  • Perennial /Annual Plants and Flowers
  • Bark Mulch- Brown
• Garden Tools
  • Hoe
  • Hand Shovels
  • Hand Rakes
  • Gardening Gloves
• Stone Materials
  • Small slabs of stone or rock to outline the garden
  • Stone Benches or large slabs of stone to use for benches (we are ideally hoping to have 5-7 benches)
• Gift Card Donations to: any gardening supply/flower store, Target, Sears, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Aubuchon Hardware

The Class of 2012 Senior Week Activity cost is $95. The breakdown is:

**May 29th Breakfast = $10 per student
   Girls' Breakfast @ the Radisson Chelmsford 8:00 ~ 10:00 a.m.
   Boys' Breakfast @ Princeton Station in No. Chelmsford 8:00 ~ 10:00 a.m.

**May 30th Prom = $65 per student
   Boston Marriott Copley Place from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m.
 
**June 1st Banquet = $20 per student
   Holiday Inn Boxborough from 6:00 ~ 11:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE:  Tickets will be on sale on Monday, May 21st from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. in the lobby of the PAC.

This year's graduation ceremony is on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the George Simonian Alumni Stadium. The rain date is Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. You do not need a ticket to attend; all are welcome. There will be handicapped parking available near the gate to the entrance of the stadium. Save the date!
